Short-term volunteers

Short Term volunteers would be those who are working for a particular event, fundraiser, or one day Project with your team. In this case Mission Edge may simply need the volunteer to fill out and sign an agreement/waiver. If required, Mission Edge may necessitate background checks be completed on volunteers, depending on the nature of the event and/or fundraiser. 

Ongoing volunteers

An ongoing volunteer would be someone who is working with your Project, providing some form of administrative, programmatic, or operational support. Oftentimes Fiscally Sponsored Projects may recruit volunteers to help move your Project along and grow/scale efficiently. If you are interested in having a volunteer join your Project in an ongoing or long-term basis please reach out to Mission Edge to confirm eligibility and legality. Mission Edge must confirm that the details and requirements of the volunteer roll do not constitute employment and therefore create an issue with compliance.
